So our A/C went out late Sunday. After much sweating and frustration, we got a new a/c unit installed late Tuesday afternoon. To their credit, the apartment complex did complete the job fairly quickly, but we had to stay on their ass. I think the thing that put them into high gear was seeing the window unit hanging out of my window. I was going to type up this big long blog about the ordeal but I think it would just upset me so I'll just skip most of it. We will not be renewing our lease.

The past few days were spent watching TV, messing around on FB and playing Bejeweled Blitz in front of fans, it was too hot to do much else. Yesterday, Dad came over with a little window unit, installed it and took us out to Casa Ole for dinner, we had a good visit and were so happy to have some relief from the heat. Mandy, the dogs and I slept in my room, we had towels rolled up to block the space under the doors to keep the cool air in. Even though it was more comfortable, we were still irritable and sleeping about 4 inches apart - not very fun.

We rented some movies, I watched Confessions of a Shopaholic and Mandy watched He's Just Not That Into You. I wasn't really interested in seeing Confessions but ended up liking it. I started the next book, Shopaholic Takes Manhattan just because and I'm not sure I like it. Becky is a bit annoying AND obsessed. The sad part is that I could follow her line of thinking on some things and it was kind of scary.
